With Summer quickly coming to an end, we can only try and look and the next best things ahead! Luckily, Fall in Philadelphia is just as much fun as Summer. The crisp Autumn air, the colorful leaves, and of course, Spooky Season. Throughout the Fall months, Philadelphia has a variety of fun and exciting activities and places to visit that will make you appreciate just how awesome the Fall really is. A big fan favorite here in Philadelphia is most definitely the Eastern State Penitentiary. People from all over come to visit America’s most historic prison and the world’s first true penitentiary. During the Fall, you can come here to experience 15 different attractions spread throughout the historic cellblocks, including two haunted houses, four themed bars and lounges, four immersive walk-through environments, and two live performances. This spooky seasonal event takes place in the evenings from September 24 through November 13!
From October 8-10 come to Dilworth Park to enjoy festive fall decorations, a beer garden with a fall themed food and drink menu, professional pumpkin carving demonstrations, apple cider making, and incredible live music. You can also enjoy a rotating selection of local artisans each selling their own unique pieces of work, and even make some purchases!
One of the best times of the year in Philadelphia is the very popular restaurant week! From September 18-30, restaurants all around Philadelphia are taking part in presenting special prix fixe menus that can be enjoyed on-site or taken to-go. The list seems endless, so you are bound to find one of your favorite spots in the town!
