About New Hope
In 1710, William Penn's land grant established New Hope. By the turn of the century, mills had proliferated, and soon ferries and bridges linked the growing town to northern and southern Delaware River colonies, facilitating commerce. Where Is New Hope, Philadelphia?
New Hope is a town located in the Bucks County section of eastern Pennsylvania. In terms of boundaries, New Hope is bounded East to West by N. Main Street and the Delaware River to Rte 202. From North to South, New Hope runs from Hardy Bush Way to S. Main St. Nearby neighborhoods include Doylestown, Lambertville, Stockton and Newtown.

If you love nature
Nature lovers will adore the towpath of Delaware Canal State Park. Over 60 miles long, this path is a treasure for dog walkers, runners, bicyclists, horseback riders, and even cross-country skiers. It winds along the river connecting historic towns and farms, providing an added bonus of breathtaking scenery. Another great spot is Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, which spans 134 acres and contains over 700 native plant species. The preserve hosts regular birding programs as well as wildflower walks and other educational programs. When the weather is nice, the Delaware River is the place to be. You can rent rafts and tubes and float down the river to cool off, or you can kayak or canoe. In the fall, head up Bowman’s Hill Tower, where you’ll marvel over stunning views of the Delaware River. An elevator takes you most of the way to the top of this 90-year-old tower, but there are 23 final stairs up a spiral staircase to reach the viewing platform.
