About Media,
Vacationers and Philadelphians started to flock to Media soon after the town got its first courthouse in 1851. The neighborhoods boast sidewalks and well-maintained, adorable single-family homes, rowhomes, townhouses, and apartment buildings. Minshall House, Cooper House, and Hillhurst, among other historic homes, are a living representation of Media's history. With plenty of good restaurants, fun nightlife and lush green spaces, Media was even chosen as one of Apartment Therapy’s Coolest Suburbs in America in 2019.

Located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, Media is a small town and borough 12 miles southwest of Philadelphia. Often, when referring to Media, we are also including the surrounding neighborhoods including Garden City, Rose Valley, Glen Riddle and Elwyn.

If you love nature mixed with history
Spend an entire day contemplating nature at the Tyler Arboretum and Ridley Creek State Park to unplug from a busy week. With the admission that allows for multiple entries on the same day, visitors may spend hours exploring the 650-acre collection of plants, special trees, interesting treehouses, and historic buildings here. At Ridley Creek State Park, you can fish, hike, ski cross-country, and explore its historic formal gardens and living-history Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation site. During the summer, head to Rose Tree Park for a free concert festival, as well as several historic structures, such as the Rose Tree Tavern, which was built in 1737 and listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

If you love events and activities
You’ll find no shortage of fun attractions to do in Media with kids, friends, and family. The Pennsylvania Veterans Museum is one of Media's most popular educational destinations. It tells the stories of WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans. Dining Under the Stars replaces cars on State Street with dinner tables on Wednesday evenings during warmer months. In the summer, State Street holds Americana Roots Ramble in May, State Street Blues Stroll in June, and the Jazz By Night Celebration in November, among other concerts. Media has numerous child-oriented activity choices, including Media Toddler Town and Media Tot Lot, that make it a great location for young families.
