Where Is Rittenhouse, Philadelphia?
Rittenhouse is a charming area located in the heart of Philadelphia’s downtown, just a short walk from the Pennsylvania Convention Center. It is renowned for its green spaces, upscale shopping, charming brownstones, and alfresco dining. Rittenthouse runs east to west from Broad Street to the Schuylkill River Banks, spanning South Walnut St to Pine St from north to south and 15th St to 24th St from east to west.

The neighborhood is also easily accessible via public transport. All SEPTA Regional Rail lines stop at Suburban Station, only six blocks north and east of Rittenhouse Square.
The SEPTA 9, 12, 21, and 42 buses operate along Walnut Street east of the Square. The 17 bus runs north on 20th Street and south on 19th Street, the 2 bus runs north on 16th Street and south on 17th Street, and the 2 runs north on 17th Street and south on 17th Street. The trolleys of the Subway-Surface Trolley Lines stop at 19th and Market Streets two blocks north of the Square. The Broad Street subway at the Walnut-Locust station is four blocks east.
