Graduate Hospital borders the Philadelphia Center City neighborhood. It is bounded by Washington Avenue on the south and Bainbridge Street on the north. To the west of Graduate Hospital is the Schuylkill River, and to the east is popular Broad Street. Surrounding neighborhoods include Rittenhouse Square neighborhoods to the north and Point Breeze to the south.

Odunde Festival is a fun way to celebrate African culture. It takes place on June 23rd and South Street and celebrates food, dancing, and local artisans. In addition to providing a wide range of African, Caribbean, and Soul food, Odunde is famous for its food. Vendors from across the country participate in the Odunde neighborhood festival, selling crafts, clothing, jewelry, and other items. Another festival is Bloktoberfest where food trucks, craft beers, outdoor music, and other festivities are all on the menu. As many as 10 different breweries typically support the event, offering pumpkin beers and festbiers, IPAs, ciders, ryes, pilsners, and more.
