Collingswood is a borough in Camden County, New Jersey, located 5 miles east of Center City Philadelphia. Surrounding neighborhoods include Camden, Cherry Hill, Haddon Township, Oaklyn, Pennsauken Township and Woodlynne. You’ll also find Cooper River as the northern border and Newton Creek as the southern border.

The Collingswood Farmers’ Market, which operates from May to November, is one of the largest and most popular farmers' markets in the area. It sells organic produce, soaps, jams, meats, and baked goods. The famous "Jersey tomatoes," sweet corn, and blueberries are available here during the summer, along with other delights and plenty of live music. But it’s not only the farmer’s market that makes Collingswood special. The neighborhood is largely known as “The Festival Capital of South Jersey” and we’re about to tell you why. In August,100 local artists showcase their work at the Collingswood Crafts and Fine Art Festival. In September, residents of Collingswood participate in Porchfest, where residential porches throughout Collingswood are transformed into stages for local bands and musicians to entertain passersby. Then in October, Collingwoods dedicates a full week to celebrating literature at the Book Festival, recognized as the largest literary event in the region. Those are a few of the many festivals and community events happening in the neighborhood.

If you love parks
Cooper River Park in Collingswood is always buzzing with activity. This 5-mile-long green area around the Cooper River is a hub of activity at any time of day. It includes several statues, sculptures, and historical sites, as well as numerous biking, walking, and running trails around the river. Enjoy your time here canoeing, kayaking, taking sailing lessons, or watching rowing competitions on select weekends (but know that no swimming is permitted). On top of being a family-friendly spot, this park is also praised for having a playground, running track, and plenty of benches close to the water, where you can relax and watch the Philadelphia skyline sunset. In the colder months, locals and visitors come to Cooper River Park for WinterFest Skating. Another great park in the neighborhood is Knight Park. Located close to Collingswood High School, it houses the school's sports activities including women's field hockey, lacrosse, baseball, and softball games. In the summer, outdoor movie nights are one of Knight Park's most popular community events as well as exploring the biking trails and relaxing by the pond.
